PET PRACTICE PAGES: VERY IMPORTANT!

Hello PET students.

Here are some very useful webpages to use to practise for the exam. I have already given you some of them, but just in case... The following one, Flo-Joe's Cambridge English Preliminary for schools is excellent. Do everything on it!! I especially want you to practise the passive (past simple) in the section called 'Grammar', because that is what we will be learning about for sentence transformations next.

The next one is also very useful...it's not PET for schools, it's PET which is the exam adults take) but it also has loads of useful practice tests and exercises:

There is a lot to do on each webpage, DON'T PANIC! Little by little....my advice is to practise a bit of grammar, a bit of vocabulary, and do a bit of exam practice (some days readings, some days listenings) each time you decide to study English:

The last two pages are just exam practice ones:

Practise vocabulary on the next webpage and Flojoe and English revealed (the links at the top of the page) especially anything to do with food and its containers, rooms in the house and furniture:

Keep speaking in English as much as you can, and listen to it whenever you can, podcasts, T.V. series etc...

Now, describe these pictures:

Keep up the good work, I'm proud of you!!

PET: Reading practise

Hi PET students. Here is a part 5 text for you to do, because most of you are having problems with this part of the exam. You can check the answers at the bottom when you've finished. Remember to do all the reading activities as if they were an exam, and then go over them again to look up and learn any vocabulary you didn't know.
